Cecilia Lugo

Cecilia Maria Lopez was born Nov. 22, 1928, in Monterrey, Mexico. On May 15, 1945, she married Antonio Lugo. They lived in Ohio and Iowa, prior to coming to the Glyndon, MN, area, where they lived and worked. Antonio died on August 21, 2003.
For the past few years, Cecilia has been a resident of Golden Living Center in Moorhead. Cecilia touched many lives. Her doors were always open and she helped many migrant farm families.


Cecilia died Wednesday in Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo, ND, surrounded by her family. She will be missed by many people.

Cecilia is survived by her 11 children, Mary Crowe, Gloria (Jamie) Bailey, Theresa Barbosa, Rozy (Arthur) Aguilar, Carmen DeDiaz, Anna (Armando) Amaya, Lucy Arne, Frank (Marsha) Lugo, Juan Lugo, Antonio Lugo, and Victor Lugo; 32 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; a brother; and a sister.
Visitation: Sunday from 4:30 PM to 6 PM with a prayer service at 6 PM in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 601 15th Avenue North, Moorhead, MN
Funeral: Monday, November 5, 2012, at 10:30 AM, in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead
Burial: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead
