Chad D. Zepper, 53, of Moorhead, MN, peacefully passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Sanford Hospice House with family at his side, after a courageous battle with end stage renal disease.

Chad Duane Zepper was born October 12, 1970, the son of Burnell “Bernie” and Raquel (Guevara) Zepper, in Fridley, MN. At a young age he moved with his family to Moorhead where he spent his formative years. Chad enjoyed spending his summers at ‘the lakes’ in Park Rapids where he formed life long friends known as his lake family. He graduated from Moorhead High School in 1989. Following high school, Chad furthered his education at Moorhead State University studying mass communications. 

Chad began his professional career in Minneapolis, working at Mystic Lake Casino as a scheduler for the Blackjack Dealers. He then transitioned into customer service roles with Best Buy and hospitality at the Marriot Corporation. Seeking a warmer climate, Chad moved to Las Vegas, NV, in 2007 where he continued his work at Best Buy and Marriot, before solely dedicating himself to Best Buy. Due to illness Chad returned home to Moorhead to be closer to his family in Oct 2021. 

An avid collector, Chad had a passion for memorabilia, particularly from Star Wars, Star Trek, the Golden Girls, and DC comic books. He was enthusiastic about cinema, often attending opening weekend premieres of new films. Chad also enjoyed traveling and embarked on many cruises over the years. His love for technology was evident in his fondness for the latest Apple products, which he embraced with great enthusiasm. 

He is survived by his parents, Bernie and Raquel Zepper; sister, Channon Zepper; uncles, Melvin and Alta Zepper, Allen and Rita Zepper; aunt, Sandy Zepper; and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; uncle, Darrell Zepper and his beloved Dachshund and devoted companion of nineteen years, Sunshine. 

A Gathering of Family and Friends will begin at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 12, 2024, followed by his Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM, in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service, Moorhead, MN.
