Charles "Pete" Patrick Bouton was born August 27, 1958, to Jack and Joyce (Jenson) Bouton in Moorhead, MN, where he grew up. He graduated from Glyndon High School, Glyndon, MN. After graduation, he farmed with his dad for a short period of time in rural Glyndon. Pete retired from farming due to failing health and worked various jobs including selling cars.
Pete fought a courageous battle with diabetes for over forty years. His main goal in life for the last ten years has been to be the best father he could be to his son, Travis. Pete became a resident of Moorhead HealthCare Center last year where Travis took at job to be closer to his father and assist in his care.
Pete died Monday, October 4, 2004, in Innovis Health, Fargo, ND, at the age of forty-six.
Pete enjoyed racing cars and motorcycles. He had many friends and could often be found with a phone in his hand talking to one of them.
He is lovingly survived by his son, Travis, Glyndon; his father, Jack, Fargo; his mother, Joyce (Pete) Bouton-Ellingson, Detroit Lakes, MN; a sister, Tami (Rick) Olsen, Moorhead; a brother, John (Stephanie), Hawley, MN; a stepbrother, Robb Young, Glyndon; grandparents, Ralph and Evelyn Carlson, Moorhead; a special aunt, Gloria Carlson, Moorhead; a special friend, Leslie Mendenwaldt and her family, rural Lake Park, MN; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
