Christine Brennan

June 22, 1925 — May 26, 2013

Catherine Harriet Brennan, known as "Christine," the daughter of Henry and Anna (Siercke) Brennan, was born June 22, 1925, in Barnum, MN. Since her father worked on the railroad, she moved with her family to Thief River Falls, MN. When she was a young woman, she entered Mount Saint Benedict Monastery in Crookston, MN, where she finished high school.
Christine gave her life in service; teaching, nursing, and helping others. She received her degree in social work from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion and worked for many years as a social worker in South Dakota. Later in life, when she was unable to work, she was devoted to helping other seniors. In June of 2010, she moved to Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN.
Christine died peacefully at Eventide on May 26, 2013, at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John Brennan; and a sister, Agnes Olson.
Christine is survived by many nieces and nephews, James (Carole) Olson, Hamilton, MT, Arlene (Arley) Running, Yuma, AZ, Gerald (Patricia) Olson, Minneapolis, MN, Robert (Darlene) Olson, Idaho Falls, ID, and Carol (Terry) Rust, West Fargo, ND, Tony (Debbra) Brennan, Buffalo, MN, Jody (Todd) Trickle, Phoenix, AZ, and Michelle Brennan, Walker, MN; and step-nieces and step-nephews, Stacie (Colin) Byers, Michelle (Jeremy) Jorgrimson, Greg (Karen) Sorenson, and Steve (Linda) Sorenson.
A special thank you to great-nephew, Kyle Blake, for his regular visits and kind concern for Christine.
Memorial Service: 3 p.m. Thursday, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN.
Inurnment: St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.
