Christine Peterson, age 63, of Moorhead, MN, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012, at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND, after a 4 year courageous battle with uterine cancer.
Christine was born March 8, 1948, to Horace and Norma (Wells) McAllister in Bagley, MN. In 1966, Christine graduated from Moorhead High School and attended Business College for a short time. On September 27, 1969, Christine married Gary Peterson and they made their home in Moorhead. Gary passed away February 2, 2011.
Christine worked for Moorhead South Junior High Kitchen, the cafeteria at the Clay County Courthouse, Emason's Dress Shop and Eventide Catered Living, until she quit in 1997.
Christine enjoyed reading, watching TV, working crossword puzzles, and embroidery. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends.
Chris is survived by her son, Todd, and daughter, Michelle, of Moorhead; mother, Norma McAllister, of Moorhead; sister, Cathy (Jerry) Lenssen, of Moorhead; brothers, Steven (Lynda) McAllister, of Pelican Rapids, MN, and Brian (Kathy) McAllister, of Brainerd, MN; a sister-in-law, Darlene Johnson, of Fargo; and her loving dog, Angel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; and her father, Horace McAllister.
