Clara Amanda Anderson, 98, died Friday, November 20, 2009, in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN.
Clara was born September 29, 1911, in rural Anamoose, ND, to Edward and Alma Hoaglund. Clara attended Drake (ND) High School and graduated in 1929. She then attended Minot (ND) State Teacher's College, graduating in 1931.
Clara married Emil C. Anderson of Drake on October 16, 1931. They lived in Terry, MT, and Guthrie, ND, before moving to Moorhead in 1945. They had five children.
Clara is survived by daughters, Linda (Glen) Huebner, Kensington, MN, Merilyn Fischer, Vergas, MN, and Mary Ellen Hebert, Moorhead; daughters-in-law, Naomi Anderson and Sybil Anderson, both of Fargo; grandchildren, Jerald (Karen) Anderson, Bismarck, ND, Douglas (Mary) Anderson, Seeley, MT, Kenneth (Shelley) Anderson, Grandin, ND, Todd (Karleen) Anderson, Fargo, Candace (Paul) Wuebben, Perham, MN, Jody (Kevin) Greuel, Moorhead, Heidi (Ronald) Twedt, Moorhead, Trudy (Lance) Olson, Edina, MN, Tracy (Derek) Gerasch, Maple Grove, MN, Dustin Hebert, Moorhead, and Michael Hebert, Moorhead; 17 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Esther Bromley, Anamoose; sisters-in-law, Marceline Hoaglund, Anamoose, and Edna Anderson, Alexandria; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Emil; sons, Donald Anderson, and Glenn Anderson; a son-in-law, Floyd Fischer; a grandson, Dale Anderson; brothers, Leonard, Clarence, and Melvin Hoaglund; and sisters, Gladys Becker, and Emily Johns
Memorials preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, or Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead.
Funeral: Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 1 PM in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Visitation: Monday from 5 - 7 PM with a Prayer Service at 6:30 PM at Korsmo Funeral Service, Moorhead.
Burial: Moorhead Memorial Gardens, Moorhead
