Clara A. Moen, 102, Halstad, MN, formerly of Caledonia, ND, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008, in the Halstad Living Center.
Clara Amelia Nygaard was born on August 21, 1905, to Chris and Inga (Anderson) Nygaard in Caledonia where she was raised and attended school. As a young woman, Clara worked for area farmers.
On March 10, 1931, Clara married Gilmer Moen in Crookston, MN, and they made their home in Caledonia. In 1959, Gilmer died and Clara continued to make her home in Caledonia until moving to Fargo, ND, around 1968. Clara then briefly lived in Florida but returned to the area to make her home at the Halstad Living Center.
Clara was a loving mother who enjoyed reading and baking.
She is survived by two sons, Glenn (Fern) Moen and Clyde Moen; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday from 5 -7 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN.
Graveside Service: Saturday, June 21, 2008, at 11 AM, Caledonia Cemetery, Caledonia.
