Clara M. Krook

Clara M. Krook, 101, of Moorhead, MN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, in Bethany on University, Fargo, ND.

Clara Mae Schmierer was born on November 19, 1918, in Ellendale, ND, the ïfth of six children born to Michael J. and Carolina Schmierer. She married Ken "Bud" Krook on August 3, 1946. They moved to Mora, MN where they operated a grocery store.

Clara and Bud later moved to Moorhead, where Clara worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield. After retiring, they spent the winters in Lakeland, FL, and summers at Pelican Lake. She will be remembered for her kindness, positive attitude and love of life.

Clara is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ken "Bud"; brothers, George, Albert, Walt and Clifford; and sister, Cora.

A Gathering of Friends for Clara will begin 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 23, 2020, followed by a 1:30 PM, Memorial Service in Mavis Whiting Chapel, Bethany on University, Fargo.

Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
