Clarence "Bud" Krabbenhoft, age 90, died on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Hospice House, Lady Lake, FL.
Clarence "Bud" Henry Krabbenhoft was born March 29, 1918, at Page, ND, to Henry and Emma (Knutzelman) Krabbenhoft. He was raised in that area. He attended Hanson Mechanical School in Fargo, ND. He then moved to California where he married Lorna Gray and lived there until serving in World War II. He was a Buck Sergeant in the U.S. Army Flying Combat Engineers from 1943 to 1945, stationed in Burma. He was divorced during the war. After the war he returned to Harwood, ND, where he married Corrine E. Amundson on March 8, 1947. They made their home in Moorhead, MN, where Clarence worked for the city of Moorhead in the Street Department and then worked for the Minnesota State Highway Department out of Detroit Lakes, MN. He retired in 1978. They continued to make their home in Moorhead, spending summer months on Turtle Lake, MN. In 1989 they moved to Lady Lake, where Corinne died in 1999. Clarence continued to reside there until his death.
Clarence is survived by son, Paul (Sue) Krabbenhoft, Stillwater, MN; daughters, Laurel McNolte, Augusta, KS, Susan (Rennae) Speiginer, Riverside, CA, and Alice (Steve) Stoll, Bakersfield, CA; seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Gerald Krabbenhoft, West Fargo, ND, and Melvin Krabbenhoft, Casselton, ND. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Clarence loved his family more than anything and especially all the little children. He always had gum, candy, presents, or money to give to the kids, whether they were related or neighbor kids and was called Grandpa by many of them. He also liked to play tricks and tell jokes. He loved life and people and was very generous to family and friends. His hobbies were playing golf, leather tooling, and reading. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral service: Thursday, June 12, 2008, at 11 AM in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN.
