Clayton A. "Bud" Lyngaas, 88, of Moorhead, MN, formerly of Campbell, MN, died Friday, October 25, 2013, in Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead.

Clayton Allen Lyngaas was born August 24, 1925, the son of Lars and Mathilda (Hanson) Lyngaas, in Bradford Township, rural Doran, MN. He was raised there and attended country school.

On June 10, 1945, he was united in marriage to Mary Lou Klindt at Vukku Lutheran Church, rural Foxhome, MN. They made their home on the Lyngaas family farm where they farmed and raised their family. Bud took great pride in his dairy herd and grain farm. Bud and Mary were a team who did everything together and enjoyed sixty-eight years of married life. In 2006, they retired and moved to Fergus Falls, MN, and in 2011 moved to Linden Tree Circle at Eventide in Moorhead.

Bud was a lifelong member of Vukku Lutheran Church. He was active in all of his children's activities and also enjoyed hunting. For many years he made sure that snow was removed from the roads and farmsteads of many of his neighbors. He loved anything John Deere and enjoyed driving around the countryside admiring the crops.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; daughters, Cheeri (Darrel) Hestdalen, Fargo, ND, and Charlotte (Rick) Quam, Pelican Rapids, MN; daughter-in-law, Brenda (John) Schander, Sykeston, ND; grandchildren, Kirsten (Josh) Buchholz, and their children, Cora and Peter, Jans (Tiffeny) Hestdalen and their child, Reegan; Michelle (Ryan) Mullikin, and their children, Shelby and Megan, Eric (Jami) Deal, and their children, Ethan, Dylann, Lauren and Alexa, Jessica Lyngaas, and her children, Levi, Lucas, and Morgan, Lisa (Todd) Berg and their children, Lane and Wade, and Casey Lyngaas; and many nieces and nephews.
