Colby Jacob Anderson "Mav", 18, of Fargo, ND, was called home to his Lord in the early hours on Sunday, September 23, 2012.

Colby Jacob Anderson was born January 27, 1994, to Scott and Sherrie Anderson in Fargo. Colby was a 2012 graduate of North Fargo High School and was a freshman at North Dakota State University, where he planned to complete a degree in Criminal Justice and pursue a career as a US Marshall. He recently joined the Rodeo Club at NDSU, and was enjoying his classes and student life at NDSU.

Colby inherited his tender side from his mother, and his creativity and love of adventure from his father. Colby enjoyed spending time with his friends, which were many. He was always available to them in times of need with his warm smile and caring heart.

Colby was very passionate about life and his many interests. He loved working on vehicles, restoring cars and trucks, and riding his motorcycle with his mom and dad. He loved music, waterskiing at the lakes, and vacations with his parents. He loved to travel, spend time at the family farm, golf, and martial arts. His family and friends were extremely important to him and he always enjoyed the time spent with them. Colby touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Colby is survived by his father, Scott Anderson of Fargo; his mother, Sherrie (John) Basham of Moorhead, MN; grandparents, Adrian Anderson of Tioga, ND, Janette Borho of Fargo, and Ruth Bruner of Fredericksburg, TX ; great-grandmother, Dorothy Bruner of Terre Haute, IN; uncles, Dallas (Donna) Anderson of Carrington, ND, and Wayne (Brenda) Bruner of West Fargo, ND; aunts, Mari (Lee) Kvam of Fargo, Susan (Lee) Zahradka of West Fargo, and Brenda (Neil) Wilson of West Fargo; and cousins, Devin Anderson, Caitlyn Christensen, Natalie Johnson, Shanna Lower, Elle Kvam, Danielle Zahradka, Lukas Zahradka, Stephanie Toledo, Chad Wilson, and Dylan Bruner.

Colby was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Eleanor Anderson; grandpa, Robert Bruner; grandma, Glenda Bruner; his uncle, David Anderson; and cousin, Lindsey Kvam.

The family requests that memorials be sent to the NDSU Rodeo Club. The family also wishes to thank NDSU and North Fargo High School for the grief counseling they have provided for Colby's dorm-mates, friends, and fellow students.

With his faith in the Lord, he lived his life. In Colby's own words, "When it's your time, it's your time, so live your life and be ready."

Visitation will be Thursday, September 27, 2012, from 5 - 7 PM, followed by a prayer service at 7 PM, at Hope Lutheran Church, North Campus, 2900 North Broadway, Fargo.

The funeral service will be at 11 AM, Friday, September 28, 2012, at the church.
