Connie M. Oxton, 77, Moorhead, MN, died Saturday, June 25, 2005, in Moorhead Healthcare Center.
Constance Merle Mustad, daughter of Gilbert and Bertine (Hilstad) Mustad, was born Jan. 19, 1928, in Finley, ND, where she grew up and graduated from high school. On Sept. 6, 1947, she married Donald R. Oxton in Chicago, IL. After a short time in Chicago, they made their home in Moorhead.
Connie worked as an accountant at Comstock Memorial Union, Moorhead State College, and retired after thirty years of service.
Connie was active in the VFW Auxiliary, Moorhead, as well as a volunteer for Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead. She was fond of cats. She was loved by her family, friends, and anyone who knew her.
Connie was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Karen, her parents, seven sisters, and one brother.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandy (John) Silletto, West Valley City, Utah; a son, Larry (Lezlee) Oxton, Loveland, CO; three sisters, Laura Madsen, Fulsom, CA, Trudy Gilbertson, Moorhead, and Sybby (Odin) Knutson, Valley City, ND; one brother, Robert (Marlys) Mustad, Glasgow, MT; and two grandchildren, Jack and Jessica Oxton.
