Craig Thompson

Craig E. Thompson, 64, of Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016, in University of Minnesota Medical Center-Fairview, Minneapolis, MN.

Craig Ernest Thompson was born March 30, 1952, the son of Ernest and Donna (Biersdorff) Thompson, in Jamestown, ND. He was raised in Pettibone, ND, and graduated from Pettibone High School in 1971. He then attended Interstate Business College for two years. In 1971, he was united in marriage to Janice Suckut in Sykeston, ND, and they were later divorced.

He worked for Cenex in Kindred, ND, and Oberon, ND, for a number of years before moving to Fargo in 1983. He then began working in sales at Office Interiors in West Fargo, ND, before becoming part owner of F-M Printing in Moorhead. On August 14, 2009, Craig was united in marriage to Linda (Lass) Fox in Moorhead. They made their home in Moorhead and he retired in 2011. After retirement, he worked as an Uber driver in Fargo-Moorhead for a few years.

Craig enjoyed music, baseball, hunting, fishing, golf, football, bowling, watching game shows, and going to Vic's to hang out with friends. He also loved watching his grandchildren play sports.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughters, Stacey (Mike) Birrenkott, and Jacqueline (Chris) Grefsrud, both West Fargo, and Heather (Justin) Gravalin, Moorhead; grandchildren, Connor and Carter Birrenkott, Jaden and Finly Grefsrud, and Jordan Gravalin; step-children, Rhonda (Rene Flores) Fox, Barnesville, MN, and Ryan (Susie) Fox, Moorhead; step-grandchildren, Austin Fox, Cooper, Kobe, and Sophia Flores, and Kiley Fox; mother, Donna Thompson, Fargo; sisters, Peggy (Lynn) Sabbe, Wahpeton, ND, and Pam (Jim) Hill, Coon Rapids, MN; brothers, Russell Thompson, and Todd (Jan) Thompson, both of Fargo; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest; and nephew, Brian Thompson.

A Gathering of Friends for Craig will be Friday, April 29, 2016, from 1 PM until 3 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
