Cynthia Swanson, 57, Moorhead, MN, died in her home on August 29, 2012.
Cynthia Jo Swanson, daughter of Earl and Katherine (Hegland) Swanson, was born in Fargo, ND, on December 16, 1954. She grew up and received her education in Moorhead, where she graduated from high school and attended Moorhead State University.
As a young lady, Cindy lived in St. Paul, MN, for 2 years. She worked in food service in the FM area, including the Townhouse Motor Lodge and Red Lobster. Cindy also entertained for "Mother's Entertainment", doing events such as singing telegrams and parties.
For Cindy, life was an adventure. She was fun to be with and enjoyed traveling with family and dear friends. She was truly a people person and found great joy in time spent with friends, family, and clients.
Cindy is survived by two sisters, Veronica (Bradley) Nelson of Wolverton, MN, and Cheryl (Martin) Olson of Moorhead; a brother, Jerome (Margaret) Swanson of St. Paul; and much extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Linda Swanson.
Gathering of friends: Wednesday, 5 PM to 7 PM, Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Memorial service: Thursday, September 6, 2012, at 1 PM, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
