Dale Motschenbacher, age 73, of Baxter, MN, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011, in St. Joseph's Medical Center, Brainerd, MN.
Dale Alvin Motschenbacher, the son of Alvin and Margaret Motschenbacher, was born Nov. 6, 1937, in Sabin, MN. He grew up in Sabin, and received his education in Sabin and in Glyndon, MN.
Dale served his country in the US Marine Corps, from 1957 until 1958, overseas in Korea.
On November 21, 1959, Dale married Roslyn Dunlap, in Sabin. They lived in Moorhead, Fargo, and in California. In 1992, they moved to Pelican Rapids, MN, and later to Frazee, MN. In 2010, Dale became a resident of Excelsior Place in Baxter, MN.
Dale worked as a roofer and as a baker, at Holsum Bakery in Fargo, and in Pelican Rapids before he retired.
Dale is survived by his wife, Roslyn, Pequot Lakes, MN; a son, Edward (Kristy) Motschenbacher, Buffalo, MN; daughters, Tamra Motschenbacher, Fargo, Shawnda Motschenbacher-Westphal, Fargo, and Tasha (Darcy) Weinrich, Nisswa, MN; sisters, Delores Weiss and Patricia Wagner; and grandchildren, Robert Dale, Scott Allen, Aaron Richard and Kelsey Dawn Kern, Richard Arlen Siegfried III, Hannah Rose and Edward Joseph Motschenbacher, and Courtney Rose and Cole Everette Weinrich.
Visitation: Sunday, 5 PM to 7 PM, Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
