Dale F. Bruggeman, 74, Backus, MN, formerly of Moorhead, MN, died Saturday, August 26, 2006, in his home under the care of Hospice.
Dale Fredrick Bruggeman was born October 15, 1931, to Albert and Ella (Hesse) Bruggeman in Mentor, MN, where he grew up and received his education.
On September 22, 1949, Dale married Muriel L. Tice in Red Lake Falls, MN. The family lived in Mentor and several other communities before they made their home in the Fargo-Moorhead area in 1975.
Dale worked as a district manager for the Greyhound Bus Lines until his retirement in 1990. They then moved to Detroit Lakes, MN, and in September of 2002, they returned to live in Moorhead. Muriel died on June 12, 2003, and Dale continued to live in Moorhead until May of 2005 when he moved to Backus.
On December 10, 2005, Dale married Dody Rudlang in Pequot Lakes, MN, and they made their home in Backus.
Dale is survived by his wife, Dody, Backus; five sons, Keith (Cathy), Mentor, Gregory (Donna), Newcastle, WY, Jeffrey (Cheryl), and Terry (Karen), both of West Fargo, ND, and Steven, Denver, CO; two daughters, Jacalyn (Dan) Duncan, West Fargo, and Kathleen Bruggeman, Moorhead; two step-daughters, Tammy Waters, St Croix Falls,MN and Kimberly (Robert Swenson), Pequot Lakes, MN; a brother, Roger (Arlene) Bruggeman, Avery, WI; two sisters, Vivian Preusse, St. Paul, MN, and Jeanne (Carmen) Anderson, River Falls, WI; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren; and a step-great-grandchild. In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Donovan; a sister, Elaine; and a step-son, Kevin Rudlang.

Memorial Service: Friday, September 1, 2006, at 1 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel.
Inurnment: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead
