Daniel F. Siedschlag

Daniel Frank Siedschlag, 52, of rural Moorhead, MN, passed away at home from natural causes September 29, 2014.

Daniel, eldest son of Richard and Erma (Strand) Siedschlag and beloved brother, was born February 22, 1962 at the General Leonard Wood Army and Community Hospital, Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Daniel graduated from Moorhead High School. He enjoyed fishing and deer hunting, and he liked old tractors. He took pride in and enjoyed working on his first car, a '66 Chevelle. A lot of his time was spent fixing big and small engines, and he often lent his mechanical skills to his family and friends. He was quick to offer a hand in fixing or tuning up our lawn mowers, snow blowers, and household appliances. He helped out family members with farm and yard work, clearing snow, cutting firewood and clearing land. Family events were important to him. He would be the first on the phone checking to see who was organizing and hosting the next big dinner and celebration.

Daniel is survived by his parents, Richard and Erma (Strand) Siedschlag, his sisters Carolyn (Floyd) Moltzan, Darline (Steve) Sween, Paulette (Tim) Wolbeck, brother Michael Siedschlag, nieces Jessica and Jasmine Sigurdson, Amber (Luke) Langerud, nephews Joshua and Cody Wolbeck and Christopher Sween, aunts and uncles and many cousins. He was preceded in death by brother-in-law Tim Sigurdson, infant niece Hope Sween, grandparents August & Anna Siedschlag, John & Pauline Strand, Uncles Palmer, Gordon and Johnny Strand, and Aunts Helen Marie Brissett, Opal Jensen and Bernice Strand, and cousins Brent Strand, Howard Anderson Jr. and Richelle Monson.

He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Visitation: Friday, October 10th, 5-7pm with a prayer service at 7pm at Korsmo Funeral Chapel, 409 8th St S, Moorhead, MN.

Memorial Service: Saturday, October 11th, 12:00 noon, at the Embassy Community Center, 603 3rd St NE Fosston, MN
