Daniel J. Vasquez, 64, Moorhead, MN, died Sunday, October 10, 2010, in the VA Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Daniel John Vasquez was born on July 28, 1946, in Fargo, to Joseph and Minnie (Perez) Vasquez. He graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1964. Dan proudly served in the US Marine Corps from July 1, 1964, to June 30, 1968, completing two tours of duty in Vietnam.

Dan married Char Hansen in 1977. They had one daughter, Kristina.
Dan's extended family was large and active, and all had many fun-filled days at their lake home. Dan and Char's hospitality was known far and wide. He was a model of what a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son-in-law, friend and good neighbor should be. Dan's kindness, generosity and humor was felt by numerous foster children in his and Char's care, by his co-workers at DC Sales, his neighbors and his family. His love and experiences of hunting, fishing, and dancing contributed to the family lore with much laughter. He was quick to help those in need.

Dan is survived by his wife, Char; his daughter, Kris (Jeremy) Peterson and baby granddaughter, Lilia Rose, Godfrey, IL; his mother-in-law, Rose Nolte, Moorhead; brothers, Eddie Vasquez, Fargo, Joe (Phyllis) Vasquez, Fargo, Rudy (Marni) Vasquez, Des Moine
Memorials may be given to the Scleroderma Foundation.

The Visitation for Dan will be on Thursday from 5 - 7 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
The Funeral Service will be on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 10:30 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
