Danny J. Plienis

Danny Junior Plienis, son of William and Elizabeth (Heidt) Plienis, was born December 24, 1948, in Bismarck, ND. He received his education in Wing, ND and later Linton, ND. Following his education he worked as a farm laborer for several farms around the Bismarck area. He moved to Fargo, ND, in 1974, and worked for Northern Improvement Construction Co.
Danny was united in marriage to Judy Peterson on July 10, 1975, in Moorhead. The couple made their home in Fargo and in 1980 they moved to Moorhead. Danny retired from Northern Improvement in 2003, after working there for 29 years.
Danny enjoyed working outdoors and repairing cars and tractors. He loved his job, his two dogs and especially spending time with his family.
Danny J. "Bud" Plienis, died Sunday, November 6, 2005, in Moorhead Health Care Center, Moorhead.
He is survived by his wife Judy, Moorhead; two daughters, Kari Plienis, Moorhead and Rena (Travis) Bjerke, Sabin, MN; three grandaughters; two brothers, Harold (Ladonna), Bismarck, and Jim (Rusty), Linton, ND: two sisters, Judy Scott, Mandan, ND, and Virgina Pidarson, Washington; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Memorial Service: Thursday, November 10, 2005, at 11 AM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN.
