Daryl "GG" Vivian Liljequist

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Daryl "GG" Vivian Liljequist, 82, of Fargo, ND, on Monday, May 29, 2017. Daryl Perkins was born in Hawley, MN, on October 14, 1934, to Fred and Nina (Quam) Perkins.

Daryl married her best friend, Robert Liljequist, on June 19, 1954, and together they had four children. She was a homemaker until the kids were raised and then worked at Earl's in Dilworth, MN, and then K-Mart in Moorhead, MN, where she retired. Daryl enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins, going to the casino, and spending time with her family.

Daryl is survived by her husband, Robert, Fargo; two sons, Bruce (Sherry) Liljequist, Fargo, and Michael (Alicia) Liljequist, Del Rio, TX; daughter, Nancy (Brian) Usgaard, West Fargo, ND; two sisters, Betty Hill, Moorhead, and Donna Chloupek, Dilworth; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Kenneth, Billy, Ronald, Loren, and Gerald; four sisters, June, Delores, Janice, and Lois; son, Jeff; and great-grandson, Jack.

Memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 1, 2017, from 5 - 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Her funeral will be Friday, June 2, 2017, at 11 AM, in Dilworth Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Hawley (MN) City Cemetery.
