David A. Barnard was born September 13, 1954, in Fargo, ND, to Donald and Leona (Koval) Barnard. David was raised in the Moorhead, MN, area where he attended school.
David had a career in food service in a number of establishments; most importantly were the Galaxy Sports Bar and Supper Club in Barnesville, MN, and the Speak Easy Restaurant and Lounge, in both Moorhead and Detroit Lakes, MN.
David died Thursday, January 30, 2014, at his home in Moorhead, at fifty-nine years of age.
David is survived by his son, John "JD" Barnard, Raleigh, NC; two granddaughters, Amber and Virginia; father, Donald; and siblings, Don, Tim, Eileen, Diane, and Connie.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Leona.
There will be a Gathering and Celebration Service Saturday, February 8, 2014, from 2 - 4 PM, at the Speak Easy Restaurant and Lounge, 1100 North Shore Drive, Detroit Lakes, MN.
