David Aaron Thompson was born March 13, 1953, in Fargo, ND, to Julian and Mildred (Lawrence) Thompson. David was raised in Moorhead, MN, where he graduated from high school.
He worked at the Elks Club in downtown Fargo, for many years. He also worked for the City of Moorhead Parks and Recreation Department, taking care of Memorial Park. David enjoyed fishing with his friends.
David died Monday, June 11, 2012, at Sanford Palliative Care Unit, Fargo, at fifty-nine years of age.
David is survived by his parents, Julian and Mildred Thompson, Moorhead; sisters, Becky Hughes, Woodstock, GA, and Deborah (Mike Sigdestad) Thompson, Moorhead; brothers, Robert (Uschi) Thompson, Germany, and Peter (Terry) Thompson, Fargo; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. S.T. Thompson, Julia Thompson, Julianna Thompson, and George and Irma Lawrence; brother, Paul Thompson; and his cats Puck and Muffin.
A Memorial Service for David will be Thursday, June 14, 2012, at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
