David A. Vollrath, 73, of Moorhead, MN, died Wednesday, November 4, 2015, in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.
David Arnold Vollrath was born June 2, 1942, the son of Arnold and Verna (Snellman) Vollrath in Breckenridge, MN. He was raised in North Dakota before joining the U.S. Army. In 1963, he was united in marriage to Joan Weatherhead in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Moorhead.
They lived in Illinois and Wisconsin for many years where David worked as a pilot and flew a cargo plane for a private company, drove Greyhound bus and later owned and operated an over the road trucking business. They later returned to Moorhead where they have since made their home.
David enjoyed golfing, sewing, and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; a daughter, grandchildren, and three sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
