David "Gordy" Barker

David Gordon Barker, known to his friends as "Gordy" was born October 28, 1926, in Lisbon, ND, to Roy and Nellie Barker.
Gordy was raised in the Harwood, ND, area and worked as a laborer for most of his life. Many years were spent at Basin Electric Co-Op, Antelope Valley Station, in Beulah, ND. As a young man, Gordy served his country in the armed forces.
Gordy was married to Maxine Johnson on May 25, 1974, and she preceded him in death on December 24, 1988. Gordy was a member of Melvin Hearl American Legion Post 21, Moorhead.
Gordy died Tuesday at age 81, in ManorCare Health Services, Fargo, ND.
Survivors: daughter, Adell Barker; stepson, Oliver Heille; stepdaughters, Crystal O'Brien, Tami Seeba, Karen Heille, Kim Heille, and Leslie Digiorgio; seventeen step-grandchildren; and very good friends, Randy and Cindy Carrillo of Moorhead; their children, Anette, Amanda, April, Randy Jr., Manuel and Samuel; and their granddaughter, Serenity.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN.
The funeral will be Saturday at 2 PM, in the Korsmo Chapel.
Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
