Debra Kaye Connery was born August 9, 1954, in Jamestown, ND, to James and Angela (Stott) Connery. Debra spent her early years in Montpelier, ND, and the family moved to Fargo, ND, when she was a young girl.
Debra graduated from Fargo South High School in 1972 and furthered her education at North Dakota State University as well as Moorhead State College. On March 9, 1973, Debra married Gene Lockwood, at Fargo.
Debra worked for American Crystal Sugar, the Radisson Hotel in Fargo, and more recently at Swanson Health Products in Fargo. Debra died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, at fifty-three years of age.
Debra is survived by her daughter, Angela Jean Lockwood, Dilworth, MN; a granddaughter, Tristy Kaye Lockwood, Dilworth; her ex-husband, Gene Lockwood, Fargo; her mother, Angela Brennan, Montpelier; and siblings, Mary Thomas, Perham, MN, Karen (Barney) Hitt, Memphis, TN, James (Sandra) Murray, Bismarck, ND, Kevin Connery, Montpelier, and Kim Skar, West Fargo, ND; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
The memorial service for Debra will be Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at 10:30 AM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN. Inurnment will be in St. Hubert's Cemetery, Montpelier.
