Deena K. Hopson

Deena Hopson, 80, of Fargo, ND, died Monday, January 21, 2019, in Elim Rehab and Care Center, Fargo.
Deena K. Kuehn was born to R.W. and Hilda (Odegard) Kuehn, on May 24, 1938, in Pine River, MN. They continued to live in Pine River for a couple years before moving to Milnor, ND, where Deena attended country school and later graduated from De Lamere (ND) High School. She enjoyed playing tennis and was remembered as being a help to her mother with her younger siblings. She then attended college in Valley City, ND, where she received her bachelor's degree. She taught school in Ashley, ND, for a few years before moving to Fargo and starting a job at Warner Insurance.
She met the love of her life, R.B. Hopson, while living in Fargo, and they were married in Westbrook, MN, on December 31, 1965. She started selling cosmetics and real estate for about 10 years. Deena also worked for Stanley Township as an assessor. Deena and R. B. enjoyed their time together and were known for spending time skiing, traveling (mostly in the states), and gardening.
Deena thoroughly enjoyed the Bible study she attended and was a devoted Christian. Deena was good-hearted and did much for her family. She was loved by them and will be dearly missed.
Deena is survived by her siblings, Bud Kuehn, Dick (Pat) Kuehn, Duwayne (Barb) Kuehn, and Verna Kuehn; nephew and godson, Josh (Jessica) Kuehn; as well as other nephews, Wade (Amy) Kuehn, Ward Kuehn, Brian Kuehn, Kevin (Anne) Kuehn, and Jason Ehlert; nieces, Linda (Mike) Martinson, Brenda (Den) Honl, Darla Hildebrand, Nicole (Jason) Plecity, Cynthia Kuehn, Tracy (Donald) Nelson, and Shawn Kuehn. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, R.B. (2015); sisters, Wanda Lee Kuehn and Betty (Leroy) Ehlert; and sister-in-law, Joyce Kuehn.
Visitation for Deena will be from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, followed by the funeral at 2:30 PM, Saturday, January 26, 2019, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Interment will be in Concordia Cemetery, Milnor, at a later date.
