Delia Montan

Delia Frances Lamont, the daughter of Lyle and Opal (Case) Lamont, was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on December 7, 1926. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Minnesota. Delia graduated from high school in Waterville, MN.
On September 15, 1952, Delia married Robert Montan, in Minneapolis, MN. They lived in Minneapolis, and later in Moorhead, MN. While living in Moorhead, Delia, worked at the Herbst Department Store in Fargo, ND. The couple later returned to Minneapolis, where she worked at the JC Penney Store. She retired in 1995.
Following her husband's death in 2008, Delia moved to live with her daughter in Fargo. In March of 2013, Delia became a resident of Pioneer House, Fargo, and later became a resident of Elim Rehab and Care Center, Fargo.
Delia died on Sunday, August 18, 2013, in Elim Rehab and Care Center, at the age of 86. In addition to her husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas; and brother, Gene.
Delia is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Leonard) Floberg, Fargo; sons, Gerry (Andrea) Montan, Andover, MN, and Jim Montan, Atlanta, GA; sisters, Ruth Nyquist and Iris (Richard) Reddeman; brothers, Elmer "Bud" (Irene) Lamont and Rod (Vi) Lamont; nine grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service: Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at 1 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
