Della Mae Morlock, age 87, of Moorhead, MN, died November 17, 2021, in Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead.

Della was born May 1, 1934, in Gackle, ND, to Reinhold and Lydia (Schmidt) Fischer. She graduated from Gackle High School. In 1955, she married Carl Morlock, and they were married for 58 years until Carl's passing in 2014. They originally made their home in Fargo, ND. In 1957, they moved to Moorhead, where they resided until their deaths.

Della worked at Dakota Tractor in Fargo, did home daycare, worked at the Language Department at MSU, and Morlock Associates with Carl as his right-hand woman.

Della was an active member of The Lutheran Church of Christ the King in Moorhead for over 50 years. Within the church, she volunteered in the office, was a member of WELCA and sat in the same pew every week. Della enjoyed summer camping at Ridgewood Resort on Long Lake, Detroit Lakes, MN, gardening, pickling, cooking German foods (knoephla soup and dumplings were family favorites), crocheting and dancing to a song with a "good beat." She had great pride in her red hair and wearing bold clothing - especially purple. She had a sweet tooth for fudgesicles, jellybeans and any seasonal candy. Della loved watching and supporting her sons and grandchildren in their sports, music, theater, church, and any of their other activities.

Della is survived by sons, Gregg (Barb) and Dean (Julie); daughter-in-law, Jean; nine grandchildren, Grant (Megan), Quinn (Tyler), Laura, Chad, Adam, Cassandra (Zach), Brett (Ceceli), Chase (Heidi) and Lance; nine great-grandchildren, Kai, Kieran, Sloane, Cooper, Griffin, Fischer, Frederick, Laila and Barrett; sisters-in-law, Eunice Morlock and LuElla Kleingartner; and many nieces and nephews.

Della was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; son, Paul; parents, Reinhold and Lydia Fischer; sister, Delores Wendel; brothers and sisters-in-law, Art Morlock, Louie Morlock, Norbert Kleingartner, Henry Wendel, Viona Morlock; niece, LaRae Murch; nephews, Monte Wendel and David Kleingartner; and great-niece, Valerie Murch.

Memorials can be made to The Lutheran Church of Christ the King Building Fund, or to Evergreen Memorial Cemetery through Bethesda Lutheran Church.

Visitation for Della will be Sunday, November 28, 2021, from 5 PM to 7 PM, with prayer service at 7:00pm, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Her funeral service will be Monday, at 11:00 AM, in The Lutheran Church of Christ the King, Moorhead.
