Della A. Rudd, 90, Moorhead, MN, died June 14, 2010, in Fargo, ND.
She was born to Annie (Otteson) and Daniel Ness of Fergus Falls, MN July 30, 1919. After high school graduation, she moved to Chicago Il, where she worked for Mars Candy.
She married Lloyd V. Rudd in 1943. They moved to Moorhead in 1954 where he worked for the Moorhead Post Office and she worked at Silverline Boats, Moorhead.
Della and Lloyd were active in Lions, Eastern Star, Sons of Norway, VFW, American Legion, Camp Fire Girls, Boy Scouts of America and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church activities.
Della is survived by two children, Linda (John) Schultz, Moorhead; Rolfe Rudd, Pelican Rapids, MN; grandson, Todd Schultz, Reno, NV; an aunt, Bertha Otteson, Moorhead; sister-in- law, Dolores Ness formerly Wahpeton, ND; brother, Prentice Ness, Fergus Falls, MN; nephews, Jeff Ness, St. Louis MO, Brian Ness, Lino Lakes, MN, and Daniel (LaRayne) Ness, Prescott Valley, AZ; "like sisters", Marcie Krueger, Dorothy Schulz, Annie Luttio of Moorhead. She was preceded in death by her son, Bruce K. Rudd; sisters, Lorraine Baillie and Judith McLaughliln;
and brother, Jerome Ness.
Family and friends will gather for a prayer service at Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, Friday June 18, 2010, at 7 PM.
Memorial service: Saturday, June 19, 2010, at 2 PM in Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 4000 28th St S, Moorhead.
