Delores E. Anderson, 79, West Fargo, ND, died Saturday, April 30, 2011, in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.

Delores Ethel Dickman, the daughter of Richard and Iris (Kilbury) Dickman was born February 21, 1932, on the family farm near Staples, MN. She grew up and received her education in the Staples area.

On June 14, 1950, Delores married Gale Anderson in Staples. They lived in Staples until 1958, when the family moved to Dilworth, MN and Delores worked in the Clay County Auditor's office. She and Dale owned and operated the Tastee Freez on 8th Street South in Moorhead, from 1972 until they retired in 1987.

Delores enjoyed square dancing with Gale. She also liked fishing, quilting, and was a great cook and seamstress. She served as a Cub Scout den mother for a number of years. Her husband, Gale, died in August of 2005. Recently, Delores moved from Dilworth, to Sheyenne Crossings in West Fargo. Delores was a long-time member of Dilworth Lutheran Church.

Delores is survived by three sons, Gary (Barbara) Anderson, Fargo, Greg (Julie) Anderson, rural Hawley, MN, and Gene (Stefanie) Anderson, Fargo; seven grandchildren, April, Michelle, Katelyn, Courtney, Alan (Trisha), Ben and Zachary Anderson; sister, Evelyn (Rol) Mohler, Wilmar, MN; and brothers, Robert (Diane) Dickman, Staples, Art Dickman and Larry (Ruth) Dickman, both Fairbanks, Alaska, and Francis Dickman, Las Cruces, NM. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Elizabeth Benson, Blondie Schafer, and Millie Harkcom; and four brothers, John, Philip, Harold and Elmer Dickman.

Visitation: Thursday from 5 - 7 PM with a Prayer Service at 7 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Funeral Service: Friday, May 6, 2011, at 2 PM in Dilworth Lutheran Church, Dilworth, MN

Burial: Felton City Cemetery, Felton, MN
