Delores was born to Ingeborg and Albert Larson on July 20, 1918, at their home in rural Audubon, MN. At age 5 she went to country school with her older sister, Harriet, graduating from Dilworth High School at age 16. She vividly remembered sitting at her brother, Aldon's bedside as he died in the hospital during the March blizzard of 1941. During WWII she worked in Seattle to be as close as possible to husband-to-be, Frank Froelich, who was stationed in the Aleutian Islands. They married December 10, 1945.

Delores was dedicated to being a good wife and mother to son, Frank Jr. and daughters, Karen and Marilyn. She was a wonderful cook and prolific baker of cakes, cookies, and desserts. In 1959, she opened a small restaurant as part of Froelich Marine at Pelican Lake, and became known for great hamburgers. She frequently commented on all the good friends she met at Pelican Lake.

Frank and Delores retired in 1974 and enjoyed summers at the lake instead of working all summer. Frank died in 1992. Delores carried on as dear "Gram" to Krissy and Ryan, and beloved sister to Harriet - they were a special pair. Family was always number one in Delores' life; she was frugal with herself and generous to her loved ones. She continued to live independently at her Dilworth home through 2006 and then at her Eventide apartment in Moorhead until the past month of care at Eventide Lutheran Home.

Delores triumphed as a stoic Norwegian through a series of health problems the past few years and now rests in peace, passing early in the morning of March 16, 2011, at age 92.

Delores was preceded in death by parents; brother, Aldon; sister, Harriet; and husband, Frank.
She is survived by son, Frank Froelich, Jr., daughter, Karen Froelich (Stan Herren), Fargo, daughter, Marilyn Froelich (Jim Beckstrom), Pelican Lake; granddaughter, Krissy Froelich, Chicago; grandson, Ryan Froelich (Kayla); and great-grandchildren, Kira,
