Delton "Del" R. Jesser, 78, Moorhead, MN, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011, in ManorCare Health Service, Fargo, ND.
Delton Ray Jesser was born October 18, 1932, in Underwood, ND, to Henry and Hulda (Brenneise) Jesser. He graduated from Turtle Lake (ND) High School then attended NDSU where he graduated from the School of Pharmacy in 1955.
Del met the love of his life, Lyla Deibert, at Bismarck Hospital and later married her on August 30, 1953, at Herreid, SD. Del worked as a staff pharmacist at Trom Drug, Lisbon, ND, and Kwako Drug, Detroit Lakes, MN, before moving to Moorhead in 1962, where he began working at Dakota Clinic Pharmacy. He retired from there in 1994.
Del was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, now Calvary Church at Village Green. For nearly fifty years, he served the Lord faithfully in the church as a deacon/elder, Sunday school teacher, and AWANA leader.
Del was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather as well as a trusted friend. He enjoyed attending sporting events, fishing, card playing, and golf. Del and Lyla were blessed to be able to spend time vacationing in Hawaii and spent many summers at Lak
Del will be dearly missed here on earth, for now he stands in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Del is survived by his wife, Lyla, Moorhead; children, Keith (Debby) Jesser, Andover, MN, Greg (Terri) Jesser, Fridley, MN, Mark (Darla) Jesser, Dickinson, ND, and Kevin (Jodi) Jesser, Plymouth, MN; grandchildren, Matthew Jesser, Scott Jesser, Anna (Natha
The Visitation is on Sunday from 6 - 8 PM, at Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, with the Funeral on Monday, February 21, 2011, at 11 AM,at Calvary Church at Village Green, Moorhead.
Burial will be in Moorhead Memorial Gardens.
