Dennis E. Larson, 72, Moorhead, MN, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, surrounded by his family at his home and under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Dennis Edward Larson was born August 14, 1938, in Moorhead to Pearl (Johnson) and Leland Larson of Borup, MN. He graduated from Moorhead High School in 1956 and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Dennis spent his life working in the trucking business. While studying at the University of Minnesota, he worked on the docks at night at Dakota Transfer, Minneapolis, which later became Mid Continent.

In 1961, Dennis married his soul mate, Leone Johnson, at Halstad, MN. He worked his way up to terminal manager in Oklahoma City in 1964, then in 1973, advanced to their largest terminal at Dallas, TX. His mentor and "second dad", R.J. He retired on top of the world with all his trucker friends joining the party.

Dennis and Leone raised two children, Denise and Doug. They added their spouses, John and Hope, to his fan club. Five grandchildren became the apples of his eye and made him proud in all their various activities.
Dennis and Leone spent the weekends and summers with their lake family at Bayview Shores on Pelican Lake. Sundays, Dennis committed to his rock, ushering at Trinity Lutheran Church and throughout the week, he helped all his neighbors with their projects.

Leone died in January of 2008, and Dennis continued to make his home in Moorhead. He enjoyed singing with the Barber Shoppers, fishing, and entertaining his many friends and family. He was our "superman"! He spent his last summer running around with his s
