Devin A. Boatright

Devin Alexander Boatright ended his battle on June 18, 2018, and will be eternally missed and in our hearts for all time. Diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy at age 4, and congestive heart failure at age 16, Devin was a warrior who fought what life threw at him, teaching others along the way.
Devin was born August 11, 1999, the fourth of five children of Derek Migel and Ruth Ann Boatright of Moorhead, MN. He was a graduate of the Moorhead High School class of 2018 and had plans of attending culinary school. Devin dreamt of joining the military because he was very patriotic and loved our country and was fascinated with our military and its weaponry.
Devin was a son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, friend, protector, scientist, gamer, expert and smart a**. He was incredibly intelligent and spent most of his free time mastering various video games, dabbling in cooking, and refining his expertise in many different subjects. Devin enjoyed playfully razzing those he loved, adored his three chihuahuas, Killer, Jezabel, and Squeaker, and always had something interesting and witty to say. He was passionate and knowledgeable about science, astronomy, Xbox games, sea biology, various spicy peppers and hot sauces, and was a master of the periodic table. He skillfully Minecrafted with friends, family and his niece, Aleksianna, and enjoyed showing people his unique taste in music.
Devin was opinionated, stubborn, funny, unique and a blessing to us all. Even though his battle with Muscular Dystrophy was a tough road, he always thought of others first and was more concerned with their discomfort than he was with his own.
He will be dearly missed by his parents, Derek and Ruth Ann, Moorhead; sisters, Audrianna (Mike), BrendaLynn "Brynn", and Damara (Dustin) all of Moorhead; brother, Derek, Jr, Moorhead; grandma, Brenda; Moorhead; aunt RikiLynn and uncle Rob, Moorhead; cousins, Cassandra, Brianna (Ronnie) and Alec; three nieces, two nephews, and numerous cousins.
A Celebration of Life for Devin will be Friday, June 22, 2018, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN.
