Diane G. Schuman

Diane G. Schuman, 78, of Glyndon, MN, died on Monday, March 19, 2018, in St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN, with her family by her side.

Diane was born October 20, 1939, the daughter of Lloyd and Dorothy (Bernardy) Stuhr, in St. Ansgar Hospital, Moorhead, MN. She was raised on a farm near Barnesville, MN, and graduated from Barnesville High School in 1958. She then worked as a bookkeeper at Farmers Union Oil Company in Moorhead.

On May 6, 1961, she was united in marriage to Leo Schuman in Barnesville. They moved to their home in Glyndon in 1962, where they lived for fifty-three years. In 1965, Diane started a Shaklee business out of her home and for the last fifty-three years continued serving her members until her passing. Leo passed away on January 2, 2015, and Diane later moved to CHI Riverview in Fargo, ND.

Diane was a fifty-three year member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Dilworth, MN, where she served on the Parish Council, was faithful to Eucharistic Adoration, and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She also served on many other ministries and church committees over the years.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Diane and Leo enjoyed traveling over the years for her business and to visit family and friends in California and Georgia. Most of all Diane loved her church, family and friends. We will miss her sense of humor, zest for life and loving heart.

Diane is survived by her children, Mark (Zonia) Schuman, Wilton, CA, Paula (Trent) Johnson, Moorhead, Thomas (Lauren) Schuman, Jefferson, GA, and David (Maren) Schuman, Hawley, MN; grandchildren, Kayla (Tanner), Amy, Christina (Andrew), Sam, Clyde, Megan, Austin, McKenna, Erin and Bradley; great-grandchildren, Anders, Lisbeth and Anita; sister, Joanne (Ron) Miller, Jefferson, GA; brothers, Gary (Joanne) Stuhr, Fargo and Gerald Stuhr, Barnesville, and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo; and sister-in-law, Patti Stuhr

The family would like to thank Father Pat Sullivan and the medical teams at Essentia Health and Mayo Clinic/Hospital for their support and care.

Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or Diabetes Association.

A Visitation for Diane will be Sunday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a 6:30 PM, Prayer Service in St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Dilworth, MN.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 26, 2018, at 10:30 AM, in St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.

Burial will be in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery Moorhead, MN.
