Diane Skunberg

Diane Kay Skunberg, 77, Moorhead, MN, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021, in her home.

Diane was born June 21, 1943 at St. Ansgar Hospital, Moorhead, the daughter of Howard and Evelyn (Tang) Johnson. She grew up in rural Averill, MN, on the family farm, with her older brother, Harlan.
Diane graduated from Glyndon (MN) High School in 1961. She continued her education at Wahpeton (ND) School of Science and received her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) degree in 1964. For years, she cared for people at Eventide Lutheran Home and private practices until her retirement.
She married Arlen Skunberg on July 11, 1970. Diane and Arlen had three children, Tanya, Troy, and Todd.

Diane was an active and lifetime member of Scandia Lutheran Church and enjoyed ladies aid. Cooking and baking were a specialty of Diane's. No one ever left their home hungry. She also enjoyed gathering with her high school classmates, friends and family.

Diane is survived by her husband and partner of 50 years, Arlen; children, Troy (Julie) Moorhead, Todd (Kristie) Fargo, ND, and Tanya (Bill) and granddaughter Kaja, the light of her life, Fargo.

A visitation for Diane will be held on Sunday, March 21, 2021, from 4 PM until 6 PM, with a service a 6 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. She will be buried at a later date in Scandia Cemetery, Averill, MN.
In lieu of flowers Diane's family suggests a memorial donation to Scandia Church, Scandia Cemetery Fund or something that uplifts your community.
