Dianne E. Meader, 76, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on June 30, 2023, in St. Catherine North, Fargo, ND.

Dianne Ellen Gutknecht was born on March 5, 1947, to Kenneth and Norma (Heichel) Gutknecht in Cedar Falls, IA. Dianne and her family moved to Sandstone, MN in 1957, where they lived for many years. She graduated from high school in Sandstone. On September 24, 1965, Dianne married the love of her life, Albert Meader. They welcomed one daughter, Amy. They made their home in many different places over the years including Detroit Lakes, MN, Audubon, MN, Minneapolis/ St. Paul, MN, and Moorhead.

Dianne worked many different jobs over the years. She worked at a Soda Shop, Larry’s RV, and she was a playground supervisor at George Washington Elementary in Moorhead. She also worked at Concordia College for the food service department.

Dianne had many hobbies. She crocheted, and enjoyed all kinds of puzzles, including puzzlebooks and Sudoku.  She also loved sports. They would often go to watch races at the racetracks. She was a big Vikings fan and would always be found watching the Vikings or another team play. Her love for the Vikings was something that she was able to share with her grandson, Keveen.

Dianne was survived by her husband of 57 years, Albert; daughter, Amy Meader; grandson, Keveen Flieth; siblings, Larry (Mary) Gutknecht, Kevin (Jane) Gutknecht, Stafford Gutknecht, Cheri Gutknecht, and Bonnie (Thurston) Miller.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Norma; stepmom, Mary Josephine Irwin; grandson, Dustin Parker Flieth; and brothers, Kenneth Jr. and Wayne

Dianne’s Memorial Service will be on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 6 PM, in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service, Moorhead, MN. A gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior.
