Dominic "Dom" Pardino was born to Biaso and Caterina (Gabriala) Pardino, in Dilworth, MN, on September 13, 1917. He grew up in "Little Italy", and attended school in Dilworth.

Dom served honorably in the US Army, European Theater of Operations, from 1943 to 1946. He was discharged as a Tech 5. Dom also served in the North Dakota Air National Guard "Happy Hooligans", from 1946 to 1951. Dom was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. Dominic married Regina Hemmerling in Detroit Lakes, MN, and they made their home in Dilworth, where they raised their family.

Dom was employed by the Northern Pacific Railroad until 1967. He also worked at the original Hi Ho Tavern in Dilworth, and at K-Mart in Moorhead as a greeter, where he was known as "Mr. K". Dom enjoyed all the customers. Dom also worked as a parking lot attendant at Fargo's Hector Airport. Dom was an active member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Dilworth for many years.

Dom fed many of his family and neighbors from his prized garden. Dom's banana peppers were the talk of the town, along with his homemade Italian sausage. Dom and Regina enjoyed all the activities of their children, especially following Dino's band and packing the coolers with food, to go to the horse shows of their grandchildren, Jodi and Brent. A big fan of the Minnesota Twins, Dom enjoyed listening to them on his radio. Dom had a great sense of humor. He truly showed his love for life, family and friends. He will be dearly missed
