Donald E, Bennett, the son of George and Myrtle Bennett, was born June 29, 1931, in Morris, MN. He graduated from Kensington (MN) high school, and attended Moorhead (MN) State Teacher's College. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
On October 22, 1955, Don married Rosella Bergan. They made their home in Fargo, ND, Rosella preceded him in death, on May 23, 1998.
In December of 2000, Don married Shirley Denton. They lived in Fargo, and in Chinquapin, NC. He had a long career in sales. He was a pharmaceutical rep for many years.
Don enjoyed sports, especially horseshoes, bowling and golf. He was inducted into the ND Horseshoe Hall of Fame and the ND Bowling Hall of Fame. After retirement, he would say that his job was golfing. He made his only hole-in-one at the age of 76.
Don's real passion was his faith and lay ministry. He prayed with and for hundreds of people. He served as president of the Fargo Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship chapter, and served as field director for more than 20 years.
