Donald V. Fry, 76, of Moorhead, MN, died Thursday, July 30, 2015, in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.
Donald Vernon Fry was born September 21, 1938, the son of Harry C. and Martha (Hystad) Fry, in Crosby, ND. He was raised in Velva, ND, where he graduated from high school. After high school, he joined the U.S Air Force. Upon returning home he attended Minot State University in Minot, ND, and the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND.
Don lived in Minot for a few years where he worked in real estate. He then lived in various places before settling in Moorhead where he worked for the Federal Housing Authority as a loan specialist. Don had a great love for music, and enjoyed computers and watching his grandsons play sports. Over the years Don and Janice enjoyed many summer trips in their convertible.
He is survived by his longtime partner of 25 years, Janice Marsten; son, Donnell (Brenda) Fry, Minot; Janice's children, Chantell Kinslow, Moorhead, and Rhett (Katie) Marsten, Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren, Edward Fry, Mitchell, Brian, P.J. and Amanda Woiwode, Brekken and Tallon Kinslow, and Nolan and Stella Marsten; brother, Gordon (Janet) Fry, Otsego, MN; sister, Virginia (Neal) Feist, Velva; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jean Nelson; and brothers, Harry and Edson.
A Visitation for Donald will be one hour prior to his Memorial Service.
His Memorial Service will be Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at 11 AM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
