Donald W. Hall, age 83, of Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, February 26, 2008, in Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo, where he had been a resident since earlier this month.
Donald Wright Hall, the son of William and Grace (Marsden) Hall, was born in Fargo, ND, on February 18, 1925. He grew up in rural Traill County, where he attended country school. He graduated from high school in Hendrum, MN.
Donald entered the US Navy in April of 1944. His service included duty about the USS Rainier, in the Pacific theatre of war. He was discharged in late May of 1946, and returned to North Dakota.
Donald graduated from North Dakota Agricultural College (now NDSU) in Fargo in 1950. He worked as a sales representative for Mutual Products Company of Minneapolis, MN, until 1974.
On June 11, 1976, Donald was united in marriage to Mildred Rask. They made their home in Hendrum, MN, and later in Moorhead, MN. They moved to Arizonia in 1994, and lived there until 2006, when they moved to Fargo, ND.
Donald is survived by his wife, Mildred, Fargo; a step son, James (Kelly) Rask, Mandeville, Louisiana; a step-daughter, Mary (Ali) Aladimi, Beaver Creek, Ohio; a sister, Elizabeth (Sherwood) Berg, Brookings, SD; and eight step grandchildren.
Visitation: One hour prior to the funeral service.
Funeral Service: Saturday, March 1, 2008, at 11 AM in Pontoppidan Lutheran Church, 309 4th Street North, Fargo.
Burial: Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Hendrum, MN.
