Donna R. Gravalin

Donna R. Gravalin, 81, Moorhead, MN, died Wednesday, January 4, 2023 in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Donna Rae Johnson was born June 12, 1941, in Moorhead, MN to David and Bernice (Wilkenson) Johnson.   She graduated from Moorhead High School.  On January 24, 1959, Donna was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Robert “Bob” Gravalin.  They resided in Moorhead and had five children: Tammy, Dave, Teri, Vickie and Valerie.  Donna worked in the banking industry for over 30 years.  When Bob became sick, Donna became Bob’s caregiver until his passing in November of 2006. 

During her younger years, Donna enjoyed playing the organ and oil painting.

She is survived by her five children, Tammy (Gerald) Gunkel, Sabin, MN, Dave (Nancy) Gravalin, Fargo, Teri (Bruce) Weigel, Moorhead, Vickie (Bill) Schmitt, Inver Grove Heights, MN, and Valerie (Steven) Hoff, Fargo; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; three sisters, Diane (Dell) Weller, Deb (Mike) Murphy, Mary Sue Johnson; and one brother, Frank Johnson.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents.

A private family service will be held.
