Donna Marie Erickson was born November 17, 1927, in the family farm near Wolverton, MN, to Emil and Laura (Olson) Erickson. Donna was raised in Moorhead, MN, where she attended school.
Donna married Wallace Huesmann and they lived in Washington state where Wallace attended school. During that time, Donna worked in a canning factory in the Seattle, WA, area.
They returned to Minnesota and she worked for Manchester Biscuit Company in Fargo, ND. She later went to work as a cook for the Moorhead School District; first in Sabin, MN, and later at South Junior High School in Moorhead. She retired in 1985.
Wallace died November 9, 1997, and Donna remained in Sabin until her move to Moorhead in 1999.
Donna died Monday, February 19, 2018, in Sanford Health Palliative Care Unit, Fargo, at ninety years of age.
She is survived by her daughter, Carrie (Bud) Kerbaugh, Mohave Valley, AZ; two granddaughters, Shannon (Dexter) Forbush, Bountiful, UT, and Chelsea Kerbaugh, Hanoi Vietnam; brother, Wesley Erickson, Hawley, MN; and half-sister, Shirley (David) Weets, Murdock, MN.
In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy; brother, Dennis; and sister, Evelyn.
Graveside service Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at 2 PM, in Elmwood Cemetery, Sabin, MN.
