Donna Voxland

Donna L. Voxland (Olsen), 63, of Moorhead, MN, died January 5, 2016, in her home after a courageous battle with a brain tumor.

Donna was born in Dickinson, ND, to Reo and Geneva Olsen on September 9, 1952, the youngest of four children. She graduated from Moorhead High School in 1970. After graduating from Moorhead State, she married Mark Voxland, the love of her life. They made their home in Moorhead with their three children. She and Mark owned and operated Voxland Electric for many years.

Donna was enthusiastic, compassionate, creative, curious, warmhearted, loving, hardworking, and was always ready to help. She enjoyed being an active member of the community. She found special pleasure in sewing, quilting, gardening, playing and working at the lake, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved to travel and explore.

Donna is survived by her husband, Mark; her three children, Nathan (Janeen) Voxland, and Joel (Tina) Voxland, both of Moorhead, and Rachel (John) Simonson of Detroit Lakes, MN; six grandchildren, Mason, Ben, Jera, Bria, Siri and Anna; two brothers, Roger (Carole) Olsen of Moorhead, Mark (Marilyn) Olsen of Raleigh, NC; sister, Cheryl (John) Nelson of Durham, NC; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Donna will be Thursday, January 7, 2016, from 5 - 7 PM, with a sharing of memories at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Her memorial service will be Friday, January 8, 2016, at 11 AM, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
