Dorothy Dahl, 86, Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012, in Elim Rehab and Care Center, Fargo.
Dorothy Evelyn Dahl, the daughter of Fredrick and Edythe (Gahloff) Dahl, was born in rural Luverne, ND, on October 1, 1925. She grew up and received her education in rural Barnes County. As a young lady, she lived in Seattle, WA, where she worked in a bakery.
On October 7, 1949, Dorothy married Oliver Haugo in Fargo. They farmed in the Aneta, ND, area, until they retired in 1976. After retirement, they moved to Sibley, ND. Oliver died on February 18, 1984.
In 1986, Dorothy married Leo Leroy Dahl. They lived in Sibley and in Valley City, ND. Leo died in 2002. After his death, Dorothy continued to live in Valley City, and also in Sibley. In 2010, she moved to Fargo. In December of 2011, Dorothy became a resident of Elim Rehab and Care Center.
Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Pamla (Lyle) Erickson, West Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Heather (Adam) Wendorf, Moorhead, MN, and Luke (Katie) Erickson, Hillsboro, ND; great-grandsons, Alec and William Wendorf, both Moorhead; sisters, Josephine Hagglund, Fargo, and Amanda Premuto, Milton, NY; a brother, James Dahl, Valley City; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her two husbands and her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Nora Olson and Edythe Hagglund; and three brothers, Vernon, Marvin, and Milo Dahl.
Visitation: One hour prior to the funeral, at the church.
Funeral: Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at 11 AM in Atonement Lutheran Church, Fargo.
Burial: Tuesday at 3 PM in Dazey Cemetery, Dazey, ND.
