Dorothy Stuverud Griffin

Dorothy Stuverud Griffin, age 85, of Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, at Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead.
Dorothy Martha Kleinschmidt was born August 18, 1920, at Brainerd, MN. She grew up and attended school in rural Brainerd, where she graduated from Brainerd high school. She also attended St. Cloud (MN) State Teacher's College for two years.
On September 27, 1945, Dorothy married T. Jerome Stuverud, at St. Paul, MN. They made their home in Moorhead. Dorothy worked in retail sales at deLendrecies, Bostwicks, and Stevensons. Jerome died July 3, 1972.
On April 1, 1976, Dorothy married Ernest H. Griffin. They made their home in Moorhead. He died April 15, 1982.
After Ernest died, Dorothy continued to live in Moorhead. She had lived at Eventide Linden Tree for two years, and since December of 2002, she had been a resident of Eventide Lutheran Home.
Dorothy is survived by a son, Thomas J. (Janice) Stuverud of Lake Park, MN; a daughter, Jan D. Stuverud of Fargo, ND; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation: Tuesday, 5 PM to 8 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Prayer Service: Tuesday at 6:30 PM,
in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Funeral service: Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, at 1 PM, in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
