Douglas A. Staiger, 56, died Sunday, June 1, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. He died surrounded by his family at his home in Moorhead under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

On June 11, 1976, Doug was united in marriage to Nancy Hagen in Moorhead, where they made their home. Doug worked for Dayton's, Sorem Food Brokers, and from January of 1987 until his death, he worked as a general merchandise sales representative for Super Valu. He was an avid sports fan, never missing a NDSU Bison Football game.
