Duane L. Leach

Duane Leonard Leach was born October 23, 1924, in Glyndon, MN, to Arthur and Christie (Lebeda) Leach. He was raised in the Glyndon area where he received his education, and then farmed with his family on their land.

Duane married Marcella Kuehl on December 16, 1960, in Moorhead, and they made their home in Dilworth, MN. He continued to farm, and also assisted in farming with his brother-in-law on his land.

Marcella died August 7, 2010, and Duane continued to make his home in Dilworth. Duane died Monday, March 2, 2015, at Sanford Health Palliative Care Unit, Fargo, ND, at ninety years of age.

Duane is survived by his son, Gene (Gerri) Leach of Sabin, MN; a daughter, Sharleen Leach, Dilworth; six brothers, Don (Monna Lou) Leach, Irvin (Delores) Leach, Denis (Irene) Leach, Larroll (Carol) Leach, Darwin (Marlys) Leach, and Curt (Kris) Leach; and five sisters, Mavis (Dick) Wang, Diane Pickett, Ardelle (Harold) Brandt, Doreen (Ron) Wang, and Bonnie Leach.

In addition to his wife, Duane was preceded in death by two brothers, Verne and Rickie; and a sister, Elthea Lass.

Visitation for Duane will begin at 9:30 AM, followed by a memorial service at 10:30 AM, Friday, March 6, 2015, in Dilworth Lutheran Church, Dilworth.
