Edna C. Corbet

Edna C. Corbet, 95, of Fargo, ND, formerly of Moorhead, MN, passed away February 13, 2022, in Sanford Hospice House, Fargo.

Edna was born March 24, 1926, the daughter of Christian and Emma (Olson) Rydland, on the family farm in rural Hatton, ND. She was raised on the farm and graduated from Hatton High School. She then moved to Fargo and attended Interstate Business College.

On December 20, 1952, she was united in marriage to Wendell Corbet, Jr. at Washington Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Hatton. They made their home in Moorhead and were married for sixty-five years upon his death.

Edna worked various jobs throughout her life at International Harvester, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and Simon Warehouse; but her most important job was a wife, mother of four, grandmother of nine and great-grandmother of seven. Edna also enjoyed taking various trips with Wendell throughout their marriage and time spent at the lake.

She is survived by her three children, Chris Corbet, Jane Hinschberger, and Ann (Ron) Bachmeier, all of Fargo; grandchildren, Noah, Sara, Staci, Amber, Simone, Sophie, Emma and Margee; and great-grandchildren, Keara, Colin, Grayson, Liam, Piper, Kingston and Hendryx.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wendell; son, Eric; grandson, Jake; a brother and a sister.

A Visitation for Edna will begin at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 18, 2022, followed by her Funeral Service at 3:00 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Burial will be in Washington Prairie Lutheran Cemetery, Hatton, ND.
