Edna M. Jore, 94, Moorhead, MN, died Saturday, November 26, 2011, in Sanford Health Palliative Care Unit, Fargo, ND.
Edna Marie Ostgarden was born April 9, 1917, to Edward and Julia (Johnson) Ostgarden, in McIntosh, MN. She was raised on the family farm in McIntosh and attended rural school and McIntosh High School.
Edna married S. Henry Jore and the family lived in McIntosh and Grand Rapids, MN, before coming to Fargo in 1962. In 1982, they moved to Moorhead. Edna was a homemaker and worked for the ND State Seed Department at NDSU as a seed analyst for 19 years.
S. Henry died on June 5, 2001, and Edna continued to make her home in Moorhead.
She is survived by 4 children, Yvonne (Arthur) Card, Moorhead, Claudette (Terry) Erholtz, McIntosh, Donna Jore, Bloomington, MN, and Paul (Carol) Jore, Dilworth, MN; a brother, Bob Ostgarden, Moorhead; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-stepgrandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and 6 siblings, Vivian Fontaine, Orville Ostgarden, Irene Berg, Florence Tellin, Floyd Ostgarden, and Edward Ostgarden.
Visitation: Tuesday, 10 - 11 AM, Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Funeral: Tuesday, November 29, 2011, 11 AM, Trinity Lutheran Church.
Burial: Tuesday at 3 PM, New Sweden Cemetery, Lessor Township, McIntosh.
